Flights

It is convenient to travel into either Miami or Ft Lauderdale airports. Miami is closer, but the traffic is heavier around the airport. It will normally take between 45mins to 1 ½ hours to drive from either airport to Key Largo.

Ground Transportation

There is a shuttle service that offers vans with passenger capacity up to 14. The fares are quite expensive. Last we checked it was around $300 one-way for groups of 7 or more.

The most affordable solution is to rent a one-way car. We have a business rental account with Enterprise and are able to pass our savings along to our clients. Ask your charter specialist for the enterprise account number and pin. You MUST book the car as round trip even if you are planning to take only a one way. When you drop, give the account number and pin to the agent and you should not be charged the one-way drop fee. Tips and Details:

• The Enterprise office is closes at 12noon on Saturday and is not open on Sunday. Keep this in mind as you may be charged for extra days rental if you return after the office is closed.
• Take the Toll option. There are many tolls in Miami and you will save money using the rental companies toll option.
• Luckily the Enterprise rental office is walking distance to the marina in Key Largo. Ask your charter manager how to walk there after you return the car.
• There is a Thrifty in Tavernier, but the taxi fare to return to the Marina will usually offset any savings you may have received from the rental car reservation with Thrifty. Cab Fare in the keys is very expensive.

Self - Provisioning

Key Largo is home to a very nice Publix supermarket that will have anything you will need for provisioning. There is also a local Kmart, West Marine, and Divers Direct.

Custom Provisioning Service

Our concierge will do your shopping for you and load up the boat before your arrival. The charge is for this service is $25 per hour with a $75 or 3 hour minimum. Ask your charter specialist if you are interested.
