How much Owner's Time will I have on my yacht?
Owner's time is not limited. The charter weeks are first come first serve. If you pre-block dates we will not book your boat during those times. Otherwise you may use your boat
anytime that it is not chartered given 48 hours for us to prep the boat. Given 25 weeks of
charter and 1 week for annual haul-out there are 26 weeks left available for you to use
your yacht. Keep in mind that charter revenue is especially reduced is you take holiday
and high season time.
Can I use my yacht at any of your locations?
Absolutely. This is one of the advantages of being with 360 Yachting. Our cruising ground is vast including several distinctly different regions for cruising including Florida Keys, Dry Tortugas, Bimini & Western Bahamas, Eleuthera, Exumas, Cat Island/Long Island, and the Abacos all within reasonable cruising distance of our charter bases. One would need a lifetime to thoroughly explore this entire area!
Am I charged fees to use my own boat?
No. We have detailed turn-around checklists and procedures that must be followed. If you choose to complete the cleaning and inspections yourself no fee is assessed. Of course, we will complete the turn-around for you if requested at the standard rate.
What percentage do you keep for your management fee?
60% to the owner; 25% to us for management fee; 15% to the Broker
What services are provided for the 25% management fee?
Marketing of your yacht; managing the calendar and bookings; Detailed and professional yacht orientations and charter briefings to the clients; Managing the performance of all phases of the charter; Being on-call 24/7 for service related calls from charter guests; Screening bareboat skippers for competency; Managing and subcontracting all maintenance and repairs on your yacht; Consulting with you on useful preventative maintenance and upkeep; Accounting and bookkeeping for the yacht including cash flow and charter P/L; Continued website maintenance; Advertising and Promotions.

Do you charge extra for brokerage fee even if a broker is not involved?
360 Yachting is a broker. If we book the charter we keep the broker fee. As the owner, if you book a charter you keep the 15% fee. Brokers get 15% for full broker services. Referrals are paid at 7.5% and 360 yachting keeps the remaining 7.5% for completing the
brokerage services.
Do you share the revenue from sleep aboard fees with the owner?
Yes. Overnight Fees are paid at 60% to the owner.
Do you charge your charter clients a Daily Damage Waiver? Do you share this revenue with the owner?
We do not charge our charter clients a Daily Damage Waiver. We collect a large
refundable Damage Deposit as we feel this is better incentive for the client to act responsibly with your yacht.
How much do you charge for a Turn-Around? What are the additional charges on top of the
Turn-around fee for fuel, etc?
We charge $125 per cabin for turn- around. Fuel is charged to the charter client. There are no additional charges at time of turnaround. Turnaround includes cleaning, charter prep, post-charter inspection, and laundry service.

Are your charter boats kept in a dock or on mooring?
We require all our yachts to be kept at dock in one of our charter locations.
Are the owners obligated to buy their insurance through your fleet policy? Do you mark up the
insurance cost?
We do not currently have a fleet policy. We do not mark up insurance rates. We can
recommend an insurer but you are not required to take our recommendation. Each boat
is required to carry commercial bareboat insurance that is valid in all our cruising ground.
How much money can I make with my Yacht?
Charter Ownership is not a profitable venture. These yachts are very expensive to buy, hold, and maintain. Chartering is intended to off-set some of these costs. A VERY successful charter yacht MAY pay for itself, but would very rarely a profit under 360 Yachting's management or any other management company. However, we do have a few well performing yachts that cover insurance, dockage, maintenance, and repairs with a few thousand left over at the end of the year. These yachst are ideal for charter, very well equipped, and available for all the peak charter season.
Do you offer your yachts with captains/crew? Are your yachts listed with a clearinghouse?
Yes. We recommend our owners list their yachts with Charterport BVI for crewed yacht charter bookings. The owner pays the clearinghouse directly for either a monthly listing fee or percentage of charter bookings.
What percentage of crewed charters do you estimate?
20% or less per year

What if I want to only offer my boat for captained charters?
We can help you market your boat and maintain your boat as the charter manager.
However, we feel strongly that the crewed charter market in this region cannot
successfully support a business. We do not recommend going this route. A boat marketed only for captained charters would likely do less than 5 weeks of charter in the first year.
Can I act as captain on my own boat during charters?
No. There are too many conflicts of interest when captaining your own vessel with charter guests on board.
Based on your pricing strategy and projected weeks of charter, the revenue on my boat is less than it would be in the BVI. Why would I choose to charter in this region for lower revenue?
Small Company Personal Service: We are a small business and family operated. Our
business strategy relies on keeping our fleet small and tailored to the charter demand. So
we have only a few owners and serve each with personal service.
Transparent business practices. We aim to be honest and forthcoming on all points. We are not trying to oversell our services, but to be honest so your expectations match our service.
Easier and more affordable access to your boat. Flights to Miami or Nassau are direct and considerably less expensive than flying into the BVI
Cruising Ground: Many of our charter clients and owners have 'been there done that
syndrome for the BVI. We offer a very large and diverse cruising ground that would take years to get tired of. You can visit your yacht in Florida Keys, Dry Tortugas, Port Charlotte, and all of the Bahamas.
How do the maintenance charges with your company compare with the second tier charter companies in the BVI?
Our goal is to maintain all the yachts in our fleet to Crewed Yacht Charter Standards and always in 'good as new condition'. Maintaining the yachts in impeccable condition is our first priority. Our labor rates are fair and by being based in the US gives we have access to a better supply chain offering easier access to parts and labor.
There are three charter companies in South-East Florida. Why should I choose 360 Yachting? How do you compare or differ from these other companies?
Quality/Rates: We offer competitive rates on higher quality yachts. Comparably, one of these companies is very expensive, not competitive on charter rates. The other company maintains their yachts only to 'bare minimum' quality.
Innovative Marketing Strategy: Four locations and flexible infrastructure allow us to market one-way chartering to our clients. This gives us the competitive edge to sell more charters per yacht than the other two companies.
